10/18/00
This morning was a tad noisy as our neighbors seemed to take great pleasure in repeatedly slamming their door. By the time we awoke, we were docked in St. Thomas. Unfortunately, the port side had the more industrial view of the island. Walking across the ship yielded a much nicer view.

The kids were still whipped from last night, so we let them sleep and Arlona & I had a buffet breakfast at Parrot Cay.  The kids finally got up and we took them to breakfast at the Topsider Buffet.

After breakfast, Miranda & I played a little table tennis before we all went ashore. We took a cab into town and then walked the shore.

We then jumped over into the shopping district and toured the town. After a couple hours of walking, we took a cab back to the ship and again enjoyed a deck lunch and swimming.

At 4:00, the requisite deck party started as we prepared to sail. At 4:45, right on schedule, the horns sounded and we sailed for the Bahamas and enjoyed the sunset.

After a little more swimming, it was back to 6118 for showers and to get ready for dinner. We enjoyed another wonderful meal at Lumiere's mid-ship. Right after dinner, we hit Studio Sea for Sailor's Tales. Three panelist, Navin Knowitall, Pepe the 6-year old and the grumpy old man all provided definitions for little know words. The audience had to guess who was telling the truth and who was lying. After that, we were off to the Walt Disney theater for "Who Wants to be a Mouseketeer" - styled after the popular game show. Contestants were picked at random and had a shot at winning onboard credit or a 7-day cruise for two. The best anyone got was $250 - still not bad.

At 9:30, the kids were dragging so we put them to bed. We were greeted by this elephant - the newest addition to the towel zoo.

Arlona & I then caught the beginning of the 70s review at Rockin' Bar D. About 1/2 hour was all we could take, so we moved over to Off Beat for dueling pianos. It was so much fun, we stayed for an hour before we began to shut down. Off to bed to prepare for a fun day at sea.
