We loaded up in the morning and left for camp around 11:30. Miranda's friend, Janelle Hopkins joined us this year. We stopped for lunch in Grand Rapids at Burger King, which we have done for the past three years. A quick stop at Meijer for a few other supplies and off for camp.

After we arrived, we quickly set up camp. Miranda, Janelle & Alex shared our larger tent, which can be divided into two rooms. 

Arlona & I were in the smaller tent. This year, we planned for cold weather, unlike last year. Good thing as it got down to 40 degrees Sunday night.

The first night of family camp features an outdoor pig roast. The food was great and the weather was wonderful. We had evening chapel and then nighttime ice cream. It was a nice start to camp.

We enjoyed a campfire with our neighbors. Several families from last year are here again, making it nice to renew friendships. We retired for the evening, with the ceramic heaters & electric blanket cooking to keep us warm.
