Yet another beautiful morning with perfectly clear skies and light wind. Breakfast burritos and biscuits & sausage gravy met the morning zombies as the week's activities were starting to wear on the weary.

After chapel, we all posed for family camp photos and a group photo.

The kids skipped the first morning activities, deciding to wait for the wall to open at 11:15. Arlona & Garry traveled to the archery range for a few shots at the targets.

Alex passed on the wall today, but the girls attacked it with gusto. Miranda & Janelle hit the wall at the same time. Janelle climbed quickly and made it about 75% of the 40-foot height. Miranda continued on and enjoyed the view from the top.

Arlona's dad, Bill, volunteers at the camp and was there to build some benches today.  He came over to watch Miranda on the wall.

Mid-70's temps and sunshine meant the beach was calling after a turkey sandwich lunch. Alex & Garry hit the beach for some floating time in our sport tubes. The girls spent the afternoon and "Mary's beauty parlor." Mary Whitley, the camp director's wife, donated her afternoon braiding hair for all who wanted it.

Arlona chose the slower pace by napping the afternoon away in the tent.

Garry & the girls took a pre-dinner trail ride while Arlona & Alex enjoyed a game of Yahtzee.

The last night of camp traditionally features a Polynesian luau. We feasted on Hawaiian glazed chicken & rice.

After dinner, there were games including a gold rush, where kids searched for "gold" (gold painted rocks) in the shallow area of the lake,

and a Polynesian outrigger race (two canoes lashed together). The family campers beat the camp staff in a close race.

After chapel, we had our last bonfire and smores. Around 11pm, the rain began to fall, fairly convincingly, so we retreated to the tent for the evening and fell asleep to the sounds of the rain on the tent.
