Alex turned eight on November 11, 2000. 

His morning began a bit too early!

First order of business was presents!  He got some CDs:

A scooter from Grandma:

and his first watch:

A quick tryout of the scooter before breakfast:

We were off for Alex's 9am soccer game

After soccer, he had to try out the scooter for real

We enjoyed lunch at the new Applebee's in south Lansing.  We went to a pre-opening practice for the workers.

Miranda says, "Mmmm...good burger..."

Alex was nicely embarrassed at the workers singing "Happy Birthday"

We had his party at Edru, a local roller rink and laser tag facility.  He had a laser tag party.

Ate pizza, cake & ice cream with his buddies

And generally had a great time!
