Background
I hail
from the Detroit area, specifically Southfield, and am a 1978 graduate of Wylie E. Groves
High School in Birmingham. December 27, 1999 marked the end of my 30's as I turned 40.
College life found me at the end of the earth (actually 2 miles past - inside joke if
you're a toot) at Michigan Tech in Houghton. 355" of snow in my freshman year was a
real introduction to the upper peninsula. I majored in Computer Science, graduating in
1982.

"One-stop-shopping" for document management needs. From
"On-Line Statements" to in-house imaging systems VuCom has solutions
to meet the needs of document-centered businesses. VuCom was purchased in
April 2001 by the CSC Group.
I have achieved status
as a Certified
Document Imaging Architech™ (CDIA) and a Microsoft Office User Specialist (MOUS)
in Microsoft Project 2000.

I recently ended my tenure as the
Information Technology Specialist for Accident Fund Company, Michigan's leading workers compensation
insurer. I supervised the Oracle database administrators and enterprise systems
administrators. I also researched technology and managed proof of concept projects.
I regularly gave presentations on client/server technology and the Internet.
Before that, I was a Senior Data Systems Analyst for the Michigan Department of State in
Lansing. I served as the Technical Coordinator for a Systems Integration Team (or more
informally - Strike Team). I did all the development for the introduction of the
department's web server until my resignation on December 1, 1995.
I have a 7 years experience with Unix and Informix database products. I have taught
customer education classes, done customer support and software development.
